AEGON Team Tennis

AEGON Team Tennis is a singles-based team competition for clubs. It provides players of all ages (8&U – open) with regular matches, against players of a similar standard in a competitive team environment.
Teams compete on a county basis in leagues. Stronger teams in certain age groups (12&U – open) have an opportunity to compete outside their county in regional leagues. Matches take place in a 10-week season between April and June.
In 2012 5,464 teams are taking part, representing over 1,500 clubs and other places to play.
AEGON Team Tennis Schools

AEGON Team Tennis Schools is a programme of three nationally organised competitions, which provides secondary school and further education pupils with the opportunity to play regular competitive tennis and to represent their school.
All competitions begin locally and culminate in a national final. Approximately 12,000 players from 3,000 teams compete in the following three competitions:
AEGON Team Tennis Schools National Championships
The aim of this competition is to provide players with the opportunity to compete for their school and become the best team in the country. Teams enter in January with matches being played from April to July. The first stages of the competition are on a knockout basis, leading up to a four-day national final.
AEGON Team Tennis Schools Year 8 and 10
This competition provides players of all abilities in these year groups with the opportunity to compete in a school team tennis competition. More successful teams can then progress on a pathway to a national final. Again, the entry period is in January with matches played March through to December. Teams compete in a local league stage, which leads to regional knockout rounds, quarter final stage and a national final.
AEGON Team Tennis Schools Senior Students
The aim of this competition is to encourage lower-rated players to play competitive tennis and provide the team with an opportunity to compete in a national final. The entry period is in September with matches being played October through to March. Teams compete in a local league stage, which leads to regional knockout rounds and a national final.
AEGON Team Tennis County Cup

The AEGON County Cup gives senior and junior players the opportunity to represent their county in a competitive team environment. In total, there are 44 counties which participate in the six competitions during the year.
