National teams
We’re proud to be the official partner of our national teams, the Aegon GB Davis Cup and Aegon GB Fed Cup Teams, in which some of Britain’s top-ranked players compete internationally against other nations.
Aegon GB Davis Cup Team
The Aegon GB Davis Cup Team is made up of four of Britain’s top male players, selected by the captain Leon Smith before each tie. Several Team Aegon players have represented Great Britain in recent ties, including James Ward, Ross Hutchins, Dan Evans and Colin Fleming.
The team, who currently play in Group I of the Europe/ Africa Zone of the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas, will play Russia next in a home tie on 5-7 April 2013.
Davis Cup ties will follow a 'best of five' format, with four singles and a doubles match played over the three days.
Aegon GB Fed Cup Team
The Aegon GB Fed Cup Team is made up of four of Britain’s top female players, selected by captain Judy Murray. The squad for their most recent tie in April 2012 included four Team Aegon players: Laura Robson, Heather Watson, Elena Baltacha and Anne Keothavong (pictured).
The Aegon GB Fed Cup Team lost out on World Group II promotion in April, having won all of their matches in Europe/Africa Zone Group I in Israel. In 2013 they will again attempt to make that step and progress into World Group II.
