AEGON GB Fed Cup Team aim to look good on and off court
AEGON and the LTA have teamed up with leading British fashion designer Paul Costelloe to create a new off-court look for the AEGON GB Fed Cup Team. Costelloe, who has opened London Fashion Week, also tailors clothing for the England Women’s Cricket Team and the wives of the European Ryder Cup team.

With the help of AEGON GB Fed Cup team playing captain Anne Keothavong – who lists ‘fashion’ among her main interests – Costelloe created a stylish fitted cream sleeveless dress, accompanied by a navy blazer. The dress is finished with a distinctive trim in ‘AEGON blue’, a colour familiar to anyone who watched the AEGON Championships, Classic or International last summer.
The team will be hoping that their new look off the court inspires them to good performances on it. As Anne says, ‘If you look good you feel good, and that boosts your confidence, on the tennis court too’.
And feeling good will be particularly important for Anne, who has recently battled back from serious injury to join a strong team chosen by Captain Nigel Sears. The British number three will play alongside two fellow members of Team AEGON (the group of British Performance Players who receive the highest level of support.), British number one Elena Baltacha and number two Katie O’Brien, plus doubles specialist Sarah Borwell, currently ranked 75 in the world.
