The Aegon International tournament is your chance to see the top men and women of the WTA and ATP tours in one place. It’s also the last opportunity for players to prepare for Wimbledon, which starts the following week.

The format for the event sees a long established WTA Premier tournament for women, which has been held on this site since 1974, and an ATP 250 Series tournament for men, which began in 2009 when it became the Aegon International, run at the same venue.

The tournament traditionally attracts some of the most famous names in the women’s game, with Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin, Jana Novotna and Martina Navratilova among famous past champions.

In 2013, 12 of the top 20 women players featured, including Agnieszka Radwanska (POL), Na Li (CHI), Angelique Kerber (GER) and Caroline Wozniacki (DEN). The tournament always attracts a strong British contingent and last year saw players Laura Robson, Heather Watson, Elena Baltacha and Kyle Edmund all progress to the 2nd round - a feat not achieved since 2007.

The 2013 ladies’ Aegon International winner was Elena Vesnina (RUS) and Feliciano Lopez (SPA) lifted the men’s title.

Devonshire Park, Eastborne

Just yards from the beautiful seafront, Devonshire Park is Eastborne’s oldest park. The idyllic setting and relaxed atmosphere belie the excitement that happens on its courts though. With tennis fans and players mingling in close quarters this is a great way to let the atmosphere of world-class tennis seep into your bones. We’re delighted to sponsor this long-running event, at such an exciting time for British tennis.
